Group Home es un dúo de hip hop formado por Lil' Dap (Jamal Felder) y Melachi the Nutcracker (James Heath). Eran miembros de Gang Starr Foundation, junto con DJ Premier & Guru (del grupo Gang Starr), Afu Ra, Bahamadia, Big Shug y Jeru The Damaja. Lil' Dap hizo su debut en 1992 en el álbum Daily Operation de Gang Starr, en la canción "I'm The Man". El dúo, además, apareció en los temas "Speak Ya Clout" y "Words From The Nutcracker" del criticalmente aclamado Hard to Earn de Gang Starr. BLAck MOon es un grupo de hip hop formado por Buckshot, 5ft y DJ Evil Dee de Da Beatminerz. Debutaron con el álbum Enta Da Stage en 1993, esta visto como un clásico del rap undeground. Tras este álbum, Buckshot formó su propio supergrupo llamado Boot Camp Clik, junto a otros grupos locales de Brooklyn; Smif-N-Wessun, Heltah Skeltah y O.G.C.. Tras abandonar Nervous Records, Black Moon se involucró en una batalla legal por los derechos del nombre del grupo que duró varios años. Tras conseguir la licencia del nombre, grabaron su segundo álbum, War Zone en 1999.
Después de la edición del álbum de la familia Boot Camp al completo en 2002, lanzaron su tercer disco en 2003, Total Eclipse.
El grupo tenía pensado grabar un cuarto álbum, pero MC 5ft fue encarcelado el 6 de marzo de 2004 por venta de una sustancia ilegal. Fue condenado entre cuatro y nueve años de prisión. DJ Evil Dee continúa trabajando en la producción con Da Beatminerz, y Buckshot con Boot Camp
